WE HAVE WATER TO DRINK, BUT WE MUST MAINTAIN ATTENTION TO CONSUMPTION
TO MAINTAIN A SATISFACTORY QUALITY OF LIFE, AN AVERAGE PERSON CONSUMES 80 LITERS OF DRINKING WATER PER DAY. IN SLOVENIA, WE CONSUME FROM 130 TO 200 LITERS OF DRINKING WATER PER MEMBER OF THE HOUSEHOLD. JUST ONE FLUSH OF THE TOILET USES FROM 2 TO 8 LITERS OF PURE DRINKING WATER, AND FOR COOKING, THE AVERAGE SLOVENIAN HOUSEHOLD USES 6 LITERS OF DRINKING WATER PER DAY.

WE CONSCIOUSLY SEPARATE WASTE
WE SEPARATE GARBAGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS. WE ALWAYS PLACE WASTE IN APPROPRIATE CONTAINERS AND NEVER IN NATURE OR IN DRAINS. THE WASTE DISPOSED IN THIS WAY POLLUTES GROUNDWATER AND OTHER SOURCES OF DRINKING WATER.
WE TRY TO TAKE THE GARBAGE IN SEPARATE CONTAINERS.
WE REDUCE THE USE OF PLASTIC
PLASTIC REPRESENTS A BIG THREAT – BOTH TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND TO MAN HIMSELF. IN SLOVENIA IN 2017, WE PRODUCED 987,151 TONS OF MUNICIPAL WASTE OR 478 KG OF MUNICIPAL WASTE PER CAPITA. AN INDIVIDUAL IN SLOVENIA USES FROM 100 TO 300 PLASTIC BAGS A YEAR, BUT THEY ARE USED FOR ONLY A FEW MINUTES TO AN HOUR. BECAUSE WE PRODUCE INCREASINGLY MORE PLASTIC IN THE WORLD, 6.4 MILLION TONS OF IT END UP IN THE ENVIRONMENT ANNUALLY, PLASTIC PARTICLES AND SUBSTANCES WHICH ENTER ANIMALS AND OUR BODIES HAVE A GREAT IMPACT ON THE QUALITY OF OUR HEALTH.
WE TRY TO AVOID THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC PRODUCTS. WE TURN OUT THE LIGHTS CAREFULLY WE USE ENERGY/LED BULBS.
WE TURN OFF THE LIGHTS WHEN WE DON’T NEED THEM.
HEREBY WE CONTRIBUTE TO LESS CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND TO PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT.
